SEED Youth Employment Program

SEED CAN:
• Help you get into the local labour market
• Open doors to future career success
• Prepare you to contribute and support environmentally responsible practices in the workplace

SEED participants are paid minimum wage while attending the online class training. To celebrate personal success, a financial bonus is paid to participants who fully complete the SEED program.

TO APPLY FOR SEED YOU ARE:
• Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
• Unemployed and seeking FULL-TIME employment
• Involuntary NEET (not in Education, Employment, Training) for at least 6 months
• A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, First Nations (status and non-status), Metis, Inuit youth and “unaffiliated Indigenous youth” or a protected person as defined by the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act
• In need of assistance to overcome employment barriers

PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
• Pre-employment skills
• Short-term occupational certificate training – can be customized
• Job search strategies and support

CLASSROOM TIME: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
