VINTAGE silver flute...hand-made in Japan (age unknown....probably 1950's ?) Good playing/sounding, closed-hole ex-symphony (England) instrument . I had "Long+McQuade" prepare a written appraisal/quotation (for insurance purposes) Their estimated replacement value wass $4,810 (near 10 years ago! Value may be 50% more now?!?) The keys/springs are a little 'lazy' (stored for many years) so I got them to quote on cleaning, rebuilding/adjusting the mechanism (and re-padding as necessary, tho' the pads are OK , as-is) all for approx $180. It still plays well, now, and a good hand-cleaning (not too tarnished) may be all you need to do. In any event... 'For Sale' now at $3,500 cash OR TRADE for a cello of commensurate value OR steel-string or electric vintage guitar (USA made eg: Gibson, Martin, Guild etc) MIGHT TRADE FOR: VW bus/van or "Land Rover" series 1 or 2 (88" or 109") or hi-end cedar-strip canoe or small sailboat or large welded-aluminum skiff; maybe good pro w-w shop tools (planer/lathes XL BAND SAW) OR VIRTUALLY ANYTHING (except cars!!!) of same value. RSVP or call/text on 728-5501, noon to midnight OK. Thanks!
