Heavy cast iron, measuring 11.5″ wide × 9″ tall

Bold embossed steam-engine design with raised “U F” lettering

Two original mounting holes for affixing to insured buildings

Strong patina and remnants of original red paint highlight its age and authenticity


These plaques were once mounted on homes and businesses to show insurance coverage, and they remain highly collectible today for their history, artistry, and connection to early firefighting. Comparable originals have sold at auction for $270 CAD.
