We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager at our small accounting firm in Ladner, BC to oversee our office operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our Accounting and Office administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, and various accounting software. This role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Training can be provided. Salary is negotiable and includes annual bonus. Position available immediately.

Duties
• Manage daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all administrative processes.
• Work collaboratively with Accountant.
• Welcome and greet clients; respond to their accounting requests, obtain their financial and accounting information and records, setup appointments with clients.
• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support Accountant with clerical duties as needed, including filing.
Qualifications
• Experience as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager or in a similar administrative role would be an asset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping, Payroll, Year End Journal Entries and GST.
• Proficiency in software such as QuickBooks and Cantax - personal tax returns.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
