Date and Time: Saturday, October 5, 10am - 12pm
Location: Garratt Wellness Centre - Multipurpose Room (Follow the sign posted on the door)
Microgreens are tasty and nutritious greens that can be eaten as a fresh snack or added to salads, smoothies, soups and more. In this workshop with Yael Stav, you'll learn how to grow your own trays of microgreens at home year-round. We'll look at the difference between sprouts and microgreens, review the many possible seeds that can be used for starting microgreens, and look into troubleshooting common problems. You'll prepare your own microgreen tray to take home! Supplies included.
A community seed library will be there, so participants can take home some free veggie/herb seeds! Light refreshments will also be served.
Please RSVP with Stephanie (reply to this post and your RSVP will be sent to Stephanie through craigslist.)
This workshop is organized through the Richmond Food Bank - http://richmondfoodbank.org/, made possible by a grant from Food Banks Canada, and facilitated by the Village Vancouver Transition Society - http://www.villagevancouver.ca/
