Typhon Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc requires a full-time, permanent Construction Manager.
The successful applicant must speak English and will be required to
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring progress
- Coordinate subcontractors' activities and supervise the performance of subcontractors and staff
- Select trade subcontractors and participate in recruitment, hiring, and supervision of staff
- Evaluate, plan and organize daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established timelines
- Plan and manage budgets, track project expenditures, and provide budget analysis and reporting
- Direct the purchase of building materials and oversee procurement and inventory management processes
- Establish, develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality control programs
- Develop and implement systems to improve operational efficiency and team performance
- Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and schedules to management and clients
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients
- Oversee the use of CADD and other computer software systems for project planning and execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings
- Develop and implement training procedures and operational standards for staff
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of all project activities
Our company operates 6 days a week, including Saturdays when bylaws permit, and Applicants will be expected to work on weekends.
Applicants must have
- A university degree in civil engineering, or a college diploma in construction technology, project management, or a related field
- Several years of experience in the construction industry, including supervisory experience
- Extensive experience in the construction industry may substitute for post-secondary education requirements
