Event Sales & Customer Experience Specialist

The Event Sales & Customer Experience Specialist focus’ on growing and supporting our Event Business such as Concerts, Community Events, Weddings, Corporate Functions, Sporting Events, Festivals and many more.

You will be responsible for becoming an expert in identifying challenges that our existing and prospective customers face while working collaboratively with the team to execute strategies to secure and close new business while providing our Customers with the best experience possible.

Our products are Portable Washroom Facilities, Executive Washroom Trailers, Septic Holding Tanks and various add on items.

What your day will look like:

You will work directly with customers via telephone (incoming & outgoing calls), and email to generate opportunities for new business
Research and identify new opportunities while building a strong pipeline aimed at building long-term relationships and revenue streams
Educate customers on product offerings and services
Create and send quotes and proposals
Maintain detailed notes while diarizing for future follow up
Maintain and update Event and Booking Calendars
Update database with all relevant information (contact info, maps, directions, placement instructions etc.)
Customer follow up via telephone or email
Ensure Customer payments are processed and follow up to ensure receivables are up to date
Identify customer issues and provide appropriate solutions
Maintain an accurate daily record of sales

General Office Skills:

Strong computer skills including a high level of competence using Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate) and tools such as Smart Sheets; experience working with TRUX Route Platform (industry-based software) considered a strong asset
Knowledge of the Waste Industry considered a strong asset
Good knowledge of the Lower Mainland
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and has a relentless work ethic
Maintain an understanding of all the company’s products and services
Strong organizational, analytical and reporting skills
Ability to accept and take on-board criticism
Excellent in time management and punctuality and conveys a sense of urgency on all related tasks
Ability to work closely with all departments to ensure effective communication

Qualifications

Background in Customer Service & Sales
Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset
