Vintage Besson 2-20 Trumpet with Mouthpiece and Hard Case

- The Besson 2-20 trumpet is classified as an intermediate level horn and is known for its lightweight design and large and dark sound core making it suitable for various playing styles, including jazz.

- Features nickel-silver outer slides that help prevent corrosion, and it has good intonation and valve compression.

- Designed for advanced players, it is tuned in Bb with a bore size of ML and a bell diameter of 5 inches.

- The trumpet is a stunning gold color and is crafted from high-quality brass.

- Marked on the body; "50 Medals of Honour, Besson 2-20, London-Paris-New York, Made in England"

- Hard case is marked, Boosey & Hawkes, a company which had purchased Besson. Case measures 22" x 6" x 9". No key available.

- Engraved with Serial Number: 517623 indicating manufacture between 1970 and 1974.

- Was purchased in 1974 for use in high school band. Stored an unused ever since.

- Trumpet is very clean and is in amazing condition considering age. Has one small ding on the bell beside the inscribed logo and two tiny dings inside bell. There is also some discolouration in the bell from something that appears to have spilled at some point. Please see photos. Valves and keys all move freely.
