To Potential Candidates,

I am looking for committed behavioural interventionists who will be able to run ABA sessions with a young girl with ASD. Sessions are largely play-based and therefore individuals with strong play skills and creativity are needed. Also, this job requires that BIs are open and willing to improve their skills in ABA strategies and must be open to feedback. Successful candidates will join a supportive team in which evidence-based strategies are used and training provided regularly to ensure effective treatment for long lasting and meaningful outcomes for the child. Individuals already pursuing a career in ABA who are eager to learn and apply evidence-based strategies and teaching techniques are strongly encouraged to apply. Education and experience in ABA are considered assets. Below are general responsibilities that are required:
• Be available to run sessions two afternoons per week from 4:30pm-6:30pm
• Must be punctual and arrive 5 minutes before the start of session
• Must be reliable and able to generally keep appointments without cancellations
• Be available for training and monthly team meetings on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30pm-6:30pm (non-negotiable)
• Must be fun, energetic with strong play skills
• Must be able to tolerate emotional behaviours and follow given protocols to handle problem behaviours
• Must have good time management skills
• Must have good planning skills
• Must be desiring of growth and receptive to corrective feedback (always delivered fairly and respectfully)
• At least 1 year's experience working with young children with ASD (under age 6)
• At least 1 year's experience working with young children (under age 6)
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must have a reliable means of transportation (preferably access to a car)

Hourly pay will be based on relevant experience and education in ABA and ASD. There are also possible opportunities to join other teams depending on skill and goodness of fit.
