This hand made pottery bowl is in excellent condition; there are no signs of any damage or repairs.
The hand painted rooster is absolutely stunningly beautiful with charming gold, yellow and brown colors.
The bowl measures 14" in diameter and is 3-3/4 inches deep.
The bowl was made and hand painted by Gene Frank. Gene Frank was a first-generation American Jew whose parents fled Hitler's Germany. He majored in psychology at U.C. Santa Cruz, and obtained a Master's degree from Antioch College. He was born in Berkeley CA on July 3,1953. During his pottery career Gene and his wife Leslie Gattman ran a large Jewish ceramic arts business called Ceramic Judaica. The Jewish couple distributed wares to 200+ companies. Gene Frank died suddenly of a brain aneurysm at age 45 in 1998.
Unfortunately Gene Frank is no longer alive, but that makes his pieces even more valuable today. You will fall in love with this beautiful worj of art. A fabulous display piece for your sideboard, sofa or hallway table!
Asking $125 OBO.
