I have a 1946 J3C65 Cub, complete, frame up restoration, new tubing, etc. Aircraft is hangared at CYPK. Historically, a serial number search indicates that this Cub may have originally been constructed at the factory as an L-4 Grasshopper.
New longerons, trim, Poly Fiber, new mags, new sealed struts, new long(er) range tanks, metal prop, balanced elevators, heavy gear, fishing tube, Aluminum spar, original panel, no electrics, Scott tailwheel, etc. I believe everything is available to complete, except for a few fuel fittings.
Engine pickled, TTSO 227hrs, Airframe Serial # 8502
Excellent restoration, non-current C of A, local estimate is about $1,500 to assemble to flyable condition with C of A
Exceptional condition, very close to flyable. This is just a lovely example of a J3, with history, looking for a home where she will be flown. If you have ever flown a J3 over freshly cut fields, with the doors open you'll know what I mean.
Offers in the high $30s would generate interest. The L4 pic is for effect.
