This rare, investment-quality antique chifforobe was manufactured by the prestigious Toronto-based firm Jacques & Hay (active 1835–1885). This piece was purchased new by my grandfather and has remained in our family ever since, preserved in exceptional, unrestored condition.
Jacques & Hay was one of the most significant furniture makers in Canadian history, known for supplying high-end pieces to Rideau Hall and the historic Spadina House.
