Antique Canadian Pacific Railway Piper Brass Electrified Table Desk Lamp
- Originally was a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) oil lamp made by Noah Piper in Toronto, ON, Canada in the 1920s. These lamps were made for use in offices and often they could be found in the ticket office of a railway station.
- Was converted from oil to an electric lamp with an in-line On/Off switch. Not able to be sure all parts are original.
- Measures ~13 inches high (NOT including the glass hurricane top or bulb) x ~19-1/4 inches high (Including the glass hurricane top) x ~5-5/8 inches diameter at base.
- Weighs 1.5 lbs (1135 g)
- On top of the base is an oval border with two four leaf clovers, one on either side of: "PIPER MAKER TORONTO"; opposite to which is "C. P. R."
- Lamp has been fitted with a new 40W Edison style bulb.
This terrific Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) desk lamp has only been wiped down and has not been shined nor cleaned with any products. There is corrosion under the base and the natural patina on the brass has been left for the next owner to enjoy as is or to clean and polish as they see fit.
Add a touch of functional vintage charm to your home with this great collectible item for transportation enthusiasts and fans of Canadian railroad history.
