Antique English Earthenware Foot Warmer - $115 (coquitlam center)

- Marked "Bettany & Co. High Street West Bromwich", England
- Made of stoneware
- Has a wood and metal bolt inserted through plug with rubber gaskets. I surmise the metal bolt and rubber gaskets were added at a later date in an attempt to preserve the integrity of the wooden stopper as it in some disrepair.
- Use as a hot water bottle, bed warmer, foot warmer, carriage warmer, train warmer or as rustic bathroom or bedroom decor.
- The opening on the top of the warmer is surrounded by a beautiful ornate leaf design
- Measures ~10 inches long x ~4 inches wide x ~5 1/2 inches tall to top of plug opening x ~6 inches to top of plug when in place.
- Weighs 3 lb. 6 ounce (1.54 kg)/
- Capacity is 5 cups.
The stoneware jug is in excellent used condition considering it's age. There is no damage, nicks or marks to the stoneware jug portion. The plug has some wear and distress as can be seen in the photo and has been repaired with a metal bolt to extend it's life. It would need additional repair or replacement if it is to be put in to use.
