Wounded River - Pull / Shine / Repair-
Triptych (3 panels – sold as a set)
Overall Concept
Wounded River is a three-panel acrylic triptych conceived as a single, continuous landscape of emotional movement. Rather than showing a fixed location, the artwork presents the river as a living metaphor, that embodying states of strain, exposure, and resilience. Each panel represents a distinct emotional passage, inviting the viewer to move through tension, rupture, and gradual repair.
The title Wounded River speaks to the shared experience of injury in both nature and human life. A river does not stop flowing in order to heal, just as people do not pause living in order to grow. Injury alters ones direction, but it does not end motion. In this way, the work reflects how wounds transform us without halting our forward movement. The river remains wounded, yet it continues to move, reflect light, and connect everything in its path.
Raised textures, fractured lines, and bold color are used intentionally as visual scars rather than decorative elements. These marks acknowledge damage while affirming endurance. The 3D textures are placed deliberate, guiding the viewer’s eye across the three panels and reinforcing the cohesion of the work as a unified whole.
