Australian Aboriginal Folk Painting on Ribbonstone by Pintajara
- The painting is labelled on the back and is said to depict a female carrying yams in dilly bags. It is believed to be a rendition of a rock painting painted many years ago at Cannon Hill, Queensland.
- An authentic aboriginal work of art with beautiful colour; signed in bottom left by 'Pintajara'.
- Ribbonstone is volcanic rock said to be over 2.5 million years old. This piece of rock was cut from a larger stone, polished, and then used as the artist's canvas.
- Purchased in Queensland, Australia in the 1970's.
- Measures 7 3/4" high x 6 3/4" wide x 5/16" thick.
- Includes small wooden display stand.
Comes from a down-sizing household. In excellent like new condition.
