This unit has been very lightly used since 2020. I purchased it for its powerful compressor (2 quarts of ice cream churned in twenty minutes) which produces less ice crystals compared to other slower ice cream machines. This makes the ice cream smoother. I enjoyed experimenting with different recipes on the Pola.
There are light scratches on the lid and inside which don’t affect function. I’ve tuned the geometry of the churning paddle to be as close as possible to the bottom and side walls for efficient freezing and to reduce the amount of wasted product.
The unit was always carefully cleaned with warm soapy water and then disinfected with Star San solution after each use. I also always covered the motor shaft with a pipe cap (will include with purchase) to guarantee that nothing accidentally drips in when cleaning.
