I’m currently sharing a house with roommates, as it’s the only option I can afford. I’m actively looking for a full-time, stable job in Vancouver and have already sent out hundreds of applications, but so far without success. As you know, the job market is very tough right now. I’ve used up my savings just to get by.
I even explored live-in nanny or caregiver opportunities, spending a great deal of time on email communication and meeting families. While some expressed interest, many clients—whether young children or seniors—were hesitant about having someone new live with them. Despite several months of effort, I don’t think I’ll be able to secure a live-in role during the holiday season.
At the same time, I’ve tried to find a housemate in North Shore or Vancouver who values companionship and a comfortable living arrangement. Unfortunately, most responses I’ve received have been focused on casual or one-night situations, which I’m not interested in.
Because my current housemate snores, I haven’t been able to sleep well at night. For my health and well-being, I urgently need to move out and restore my circadian rhythm.
If you have a quiet, furnished extra bedroom that is not directly next to a shared bathroom, please let me know. I’m a fit, middle-aged woman—non-smoker, no pets (due to allergies), no drugs—and I’m passionate about winter sports. If we could hit the slopes together, that would be fantastic!
If you have a quiet furnished room available immediately, please reply with your location (North Shore or Vancouver), details about your living situation, and a short introduction about yourself. I don’t send photos, but I’d be glad to hear your voice.
