STUDIO MANAGER

Reports to: District Manager

Summary of Responsibility:

The Studio Manager is accountable for the profitable operation of their assigned studio. The Studio Manager must establish a cohesive and productive team through strong leadership, cultivate and motivate individual performance to excellence, and execute the vision and overall business strategy of Photos Unlimited, LLC to drive sales and increase profitability. The Studio Manager will work the hours required by the business; 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the District Manager to develop and effectively execute a quarterly and annual Studio operating plan
• Meet and/or exceed sales and profit goals established in the quarterly and annual studio operating plan, as well as other key performance standards
• Partner with District Manager to staff assigned studios with high caliber Studio Associates through effective networking, recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and Develop and promote quality candidates into progressive and meaningful positions through continuous succession planning
• Effectively motivate, manage, and mentor Associates by monitoring, evaluating, analyzing, and measuring performance and leadership competencies
• Monitor each Studio Associate to manage their performance in all key performance standards. Take appropriate action up to and including termination in consultation with Human Resources and direct supervisor
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience by effectively delivering high quality service while managing the established Portrait Studio photography standards and sales process
• Use technologies to service clients. Photographing subjects operating a digital camera, and manipulating digital images for customer presentation and sales
• Create, foster, and ensure a team culture focused on positive employee morale, exemplary photography, superior customer satisfaction, and strong sales results
• Create, foster, and ensure effective relationships with the District Manager, as well as within the Photos Unlimited Corporate Office, Host Store Management, and Mall Management
• Communicate, support, and execute corporate directives and stated goals
• Serve as an inspiring and effective leader, exemplifying and promoting Photos Unlimited Core Values
• Develop the assigned areas customer base and increase customer retention
Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will:
• Be customer centric in both thought and action- This role is primarily a customer service role with photography as the service/product we are selling
• Communicate effectively externally, and in both directions internally (to direct reports and superiors)

• The physical ability to:
• bend, stoop, squat, crawl, and rest on knees up to 33 percent of the time
• lift up to 30 pounds
• stand for long periods of time
• occasionally climb a ladder to approximately 10 feet above floor level * An eagerness and superior ability to take on additional responsibilities as assigned, and ideally have a desire to advance to a District Manager role and possible

Please note: This opportunity is primarily a customer service/ sales role with some photography included. You will spend most of your day talking to people in person and on the phone. An outgoing person looking to have fun and "step out there" will have the most success in this role. As a photography studio manager, you will have photography sessions on average 1-3 sessions a day, but your focus will be to build that to 3-8 or more sessions a day.
