Incredible patina, mostly original paint. An Arizona Truck for most of its life, bone dry and super solid. The original frame and chassis are in perfect condition and have been sanded, prepped and freshly painted. The wheel wells are even original paint. The only replacement panel is the battery tray. Truck has been completely gone through mechanically. 1600dp with a new 34 pict 3, new generator, fan, volt regulator, rebuilt cast distributor and battery. New clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. New tranny and engine rear main seals. Vintage Speed exhaust and pressed bumpers.
Freeway flyer swing axle with straight axle conversion, "Thing" rear brakes that have all new shoes, cables and wheel cylinders. Front suspension is a 4" narrowed beam with rebuilt flipped spindles and all new front brakes, including cylinders and brake lines. Wheels have been colour matched to the body and have new Kuhmo tires front and rear. 175/55/15 front and 185/55/15 rear.
Original primer is evident throughout the body. There are superficial holes in the outer skin in different parts of the truck but I would describe this a cosmetic, knowing the structural part of the truck is in excellent condition. Previous repairs from the 60's can be seen in a nose bump and driver's dogleg work. The bed still has its original 70 year old oak strips!
The original paint interior has a correct reupholstered front bench seat, very valuable ambulance fans and a speedwell wood steering wheel. All the electrics work as designed and include a fuel gauge to take out the fuel level guess work. All glass looks to be original.
This a very cool 70 year old truck that doesn't need any test pilots or tire kickers........
