Topkapi is a standard production model designed by C&C Design Group. Her hull form comprises a round bottom, fin keel, and a modified spade rudder. Decks comprise trunk cabin forward, aft cockpit.
Inside, the forecabin comprises V-berth, with a hanging locker starboard.
Aft of the forecabin to port lies a head with a locker opposite.
The salon comprises a long U-settee to port with a fixed centreline table. To starboard, a straight settee. Aft on the starboard side is a U-shaped galley, with a navigation station opposite. A generous quarter berth completes the layout to port.
The T shaped cockpit contains a seat locker on the starboard side and a shallow locker under the port seat. The large wheel occupies the aft of the cockpit with a helm seat and 2 small lockers across the transom.
Topkapi has a length overall of 37.58 ft (11.5 m), a waterline length of 29.33 ft (8.9 m), displaces 14,700 lb (6,668 kg) and carries 4,400 lb (1,996 kg) of ballast. The boat has a draft of 6.42 ft (1.96 m) with the standard keel fitted. The Rudder has been modified. The boat has a PHRF racing average handicap of 14 with a high of 123 and low of 102. It has a hull speed of 7.26 kn (13.45 km/h).
Topkapi has some great sailing history including having done the Vic-Maui Race more than once, Swiftsure, Straits & The Great Equalizer.
Winches:
2 x Barient #28 sheet winches
2 x Barient 26 secondary sheet winches
2 x Barient #16, mounted on the cabin top each side of the companionway,
4 x Barient #21 halyard winches with associated cleats are mounted to winch pads adjacent to the mast.
1 x Barient #20 self-tailing mounted on the starboard side cabin top
Aluminum mast and boom with integral mainsail track. Forestay fitted with Harken roller furling. Spinnaker Pole
Lower stays of 9/32" rod with swaged open body turnbuckles. Single upper shrouds of 9/32" rod with swaged open body turnbuckles.
Forestay and backstay are 5/16" rod with swaged fittings Jack stay is of 1 x 19 wire.
A hydraulic backstay adjustment and 4:1 rope and block boom vang system are fitted.
Chain plates are stainless steel bolted to the deck and the interior bulkheads.

10 sails in total.
Mainsail, 150% genoa, on roller furling. along with assortment of other sails
Mechanical,
Volvo-Penta Series 2000 Diesel engine, producing 30HP Hours unknown.
The transmission is a Volvo unit driving a 1" stainless steel shaft and a Martec 2 blade 18" x 12'" folding propeller. A dripless shaft seal is fitted.
EDSON wheel steering with a 40" pedestal mounted wheel. Canvas wheel and binnacle cover.
An aluminum tank of 17 imperial gallons is mounted beneath the cockpit sole. Fuel is delivered by approved rubber hosing through a RACOR MA500 fuel filter.
