Hi I'm Lydia. I'm 28, almost 29, and looking for work !
I'm not posting a traditional resume because it's easier to explain my skills and talents. My resume also unfortunately has a large gap on it from trying to start an independent business in clothing .. which did not work. I was lucky enough to have a secure living situation where I could explore a creative outlet like that, but it is time for me to get back into the professional world.
I do NOT want any blue collar grunt work dirty jobs, or a job where I stare at a computer all day. Been there done that, it's too hard on my body.
I do very well with shifts, afternoons, evenings, even night shift. Always been a night owl and I'm my most energetic and productive in the evenings.
I have a lot of years working nights. From management at McDonald's to night shift in a woodtone factory operating machine lines. I've excelled in clothing sales and retail (5 years at bootlegger), I even excelled in veterinary work (although the emotional stress was very heavy for me)
I am very skilled in organization, of physical spaces, schedules, words, and much more. I am well written, well spoken, I was a straight A student in school with a strong interest in arts, psychology, health and fitness, and science. I have an excellent eye for aesthetic, colours and styles. I am exceptionally detail oriented, and perfectionist just the right amount. I love rules when they make sense. I have a strong sense of justice. I work well on my own and also do very well in positions of leadership, management, or training/teaching.
I have worked serving jobs, barbacking, bartending, and I loved it. My job at the night club was one of my favourite jobs I've ever had. I have worked 3 years at McDonald's, 2 of those in management. To be honest, I was an awesome manager, and I was very good at that job, and I took pride in it. I have worked in greenhouses with plants, and with plumbers and carpenters on construction sites. I love operating a forklift. I also love driving, and have a class 5, a reliable vehicle, and a very clean driving record.
I've done modeling. Dancing. Child care.
All these jobs I've mentioned, I mentioned them because I succeeded in them. There are other jobs not mentioned because they weren't for me.
I love trying new things, I love learning new skills, and I love putting my array of natural talents to use.
I've been sending out applications on indeed, for jobs in casinos, hotels, restaurants, because I miss the fast paced environment. I love putting on a smile and charming my way into a tip and bringing repeat customers who you'll be on a first name basis with in weeks. Those customers you look forward to seeing, I really miss that!
I am truly open to many different kinds of work, as I mentioned I love to learn new things and try new things.
Approaching my 30s now I'm really looking for stability in my life. A good reliable job where I can hopefully grow, that fulfils me too.
If you read all this and are at all interested in learning more about me or have a job to offer, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much.
Lydia
