Please do not abandon your small pets (Guinea pigs etc) outdoors! (Vancouver)

Some shelters are full, but the Vancouver animal services, Burnaby SPCA, new Westminster city shelter and Surrey animal resource Center SARC all welcome owner surrenders of Guinea pigs.
Please do not abandon them in parks, they do not have the instinct to survive outside and will die a cruel death. They don’t know how to hide from predators (coyotes etc).
If you are having difficulty rehoming your Guinea pig, I will take them in and foster them until I can find a proper rehome. I am a 10 year owner of small pets and volunteer regularly with small pet rescue organizations.
