The Casio XW-P1 is a 61-key performance synthesizer powered by Casio's Hybrid Processing Sound Source (HPSS) engine. Designed heavily for live performance, it features four distinct sound modes: a multi-oscillator Solo Synthesizer for virtual analog leads and basses, a Drawbar Organ controlled by nine physical sliders, a Hex Layer mode that stacks up to six tones simultaneously, and a standard PCM sound engine for acoustic and digital instruments. It also includes an advanced 13-track step sequencer, phrase sequencer, four assignable real-time control knobs, and can operate on battery power.
