Overview
Are you detail-oriented with a strong sense of craftsmanship and quality? Heritage Office Furnishings is seeking a skilled Reupholster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, sewing, and fitting upholstery fabric to a variety of furniture pieces. Your work will play a key role in restoring and enhancing the appearance and functionality of well-loved furniture.
Job Responsibilities
- Measure the areas to be reupholstered and create a pattern based on the design specifications.
- Cut fabric pieces according to the pattern and fabric direction.
- Sew upholstery fabric to fit the furniture framework.
- Sew and attach zippers, buttons, and other decorative elements.
- Coordinate with team members for additional repairs as needed, such as re-forming, re-springing, and re-webbing.
Quality Control and Safety
- Inspect fabric for defects or damage before cutting.
- Ensure all completed work meets high-quality standards for durability and appearance.
- Conduct routine maintenance of work tools and upholstery machine.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in reupholstery or a related field (e.g., sewing, tailoring).
- Knowledge of sewing techniques and machine operation (Consew and Mason).
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, stitching, and working with variety of fabrics, leather, and reupholstery materials.
- Ability to read and follow design specifications and pattern.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of workplace safety practices and proper tool/machinery handling.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
