- Burnaby
- Coquitlam

- Maple Ridge
- New Westminster

We are looking for both part time and full time instructors for our after school programs and in-school programs and to deliver programs such as PD days, teacher training and birthday parties at our Zen Maker Lab headquarters in North Vancouver. We are also looking for tutors who can provide one on one or group tutoring in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) topics. Most of our programs are for 8-12 year old kids but some of our programs are for 4-7 year old children and 13-17 year old youth.

Our three main programs areas are Design, Make, Play for an integrated, fun, practical, hands-on, and healthy curriculum.

Topic areas include 3D design and 3D printing, electronics, coding, illustration and industrial design, graphic design and web development, entrepreneurship, product development, sports tech, physical literacy and movement.

Experience with teaching kids important (teaching certificate would be ideal but not required). Great if you have basic first aid training (if not, we will train you) and helpful if you already have a recent criminal record check (all instructors in our programs require criminal record checks). A drivers license and car is normally required as you will be going from school to school with some equipment that we will provide. A car allowance is provided.

Great if you already have a degree in engineering, science, computer science, digital media or physical education or related field. If you are a university student enrolled in a related program available to work part time that would also be suitable.

We will provide training, curriculum resources and supplies. Interviews and training will take place in early September with programs starting the third week of September.

Please send a cover letter and resume outlining your interest and experience and whether you would prefer to work part time or full time.
