Marketing Internship / Practicum with Established Design Build Company (South Burnaby)

An internship / practicum with our company means accepting a wide range of duties and responsibilities designed to enhance your knowledge marketing, specifically digital media. If you are accepted for an internship, you will be required to work with other team members to develop digital marketing strategies, content, and other deliverables that help meet specific client goals and objectives. Interns will also be responsible for generating content for a variety of media platforms. You will also need to examine data analytics reports to achieve a better understanding of the effectiveness of content marketing strategies and how to improve them.

Content Writing - strong focus on blogs, press releases, newsletters
Posting blogs directly on our website with WordPress
Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
Managing and updating the company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
Assisting with content creation for all of our company social media accounts
Creating and implementing social media strategies
Monitoring social channels for trending news, ideas, and memes, then capitalizing on those trends through our social media accounts
Assisting with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
Performing research into our clients’ industries and providing actionable tips and advice for expanding their reach in the digital space
Our office vibe is friendly, chill, open, collaborative, dog-friendly and understanding
Preparing promotional presentations
Help distribute marketing materials
Help organize marketing events

Background in writing about home design and construction
A recent graduate of post-secondary program related to Marketing or a student enrolled in a marketing degree/diploma program
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong analytical skills
Ability to write grammatically correct content
Familiarity with social media channels
Familiarity with design, decor and interior design is a plus!
Display a high level of verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on persuasive sales-oriented communication.
Have an eagle eye for detail, a knack for prioritizing multiple tasks and talent for just getting it done!
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with InDesign, video editing, SEO and Google Analytics
