The Rinnai 180 model tankless water heater (such as the RE180 or RX180iN) can adequately supply a home with 2 to 4 bathrooms, handling 3 to 4 fixtures simultaneously.
Key specifications and performance details:
Flow Rate: It offers a maximum flow rate of 8.5 to 10 Gallons Per Minute (GPM), depending on the specific variant (e.g., non-condensing vs. high-efficiency condensing).
Capacity: With 180,000 BTUs, it can provide enough hot water for multiple uses at once, such as running two showers, a dishwasher, and a washing machine concurrently, without the water running cold.
Simultaneous Use: It is specifically designed for busy households that require hot water in multiple locations at the same time.
The actual performance can vary slightly based on the incoming cold water temperature (colder groundwater requires more heating, which can slightly reduce the maximum achievable flow rate), but the Rinnai 180 is generally well-suited for the demands of medium to large homes.
WE bought it when we thought our water tank was on the way out, but as it was under warranty they replaced it for free so we never got around to installing this unit. It's in perfect condition and is sold for around 4000 new.
it was made in 2020 but we bought it 3 years ago and left it in our garage but decided to sell it now, the heat exchanger is still under warranty for 10 more years............
it is very lightweight for what it does, i think the comparable navien is double the weight, so this is fairly easy to install.
