INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Upholstery Arts, a pioneer in green furniture design and manufacturing is looking to fill an INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER position. This is a full-time position that involves multiple phases of furniture design and manufacturing.
Tasks include creating and translating designs into Solidworks, frame development, pattern design and making, creating layouts for fabric cutting and operating CNC machines.
The ideal candidate would have a degree/diploma in product design engineering, industrial design or mechanical engineering with 1-3 years of experience in similar settings. Proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D software is essential. Knowledge of Optitex or similar pattern design and marker making software is desirable as well as experience with CNC machines.
We need a creative person, devoted to his/her work, very much detail oriented, organized, with good communication skills and able to work in busy environment.
