Position: Youth Ambassador

The Youth Ambassador position is well-suited to post secondary students in public relations or environmental studies. The Ambassador provides positive, effective delivery of information to the public and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with a team to set-up, tear down and staff an information table in designated locations; share information with the public; and work well in a team environment.
Our Youth Ambassador campaign shares information about the challenge of climate change and the actions we can all take in our daily lives to save money, improve health and comfort , and save the planet. Our Ambassadors will be encouraging British Columbians to take advantage of a wide range of incentives available to help make smart choices at home, on the road and at work.
Hours, location and transportation:
Ambassadors must be available for training August 13 and 14.
The Youth Ambassador team will begin work at the PNE. Each Ambassador will be required to work 40 hours/week August 16 – September 1. These shifts will vary between the hours of 9:30 am – 10:30 pm.
Hours will continue part-time September – December ( between 8 and 12 hours/wk), primarily on weekends in locations around the Lower Mainland.
Ambassadors are expected to provide their own transportation to these various work locations.
Salary: $15/hour
This is a contractual position, and as such does not include long-term benefits.
